If only...

There’s always the “dreams, hopes, jigs, expectations”...when a gal steps into college.(thanks to k wood :/!! ) Add that to 14 years of lockdown under the hood of *convent education* they are bound to get bigger ;). I was one such gal...with eyes shining with hope(yes i had recently spent 2000 bucks on lens for college!! Stupid right?) i stepped into ma college life.. but i knew all the “dreams, hopes, butterflies, jigs” will always remain outta reach one week..nah ..one day into ma college! L (hell..i thought ma faculty advisor was just someone arranging chairs for crap’s sake!! :D :D)

But .....

Two days into  college... i met someone...say *S* (*X* is kinda cliché!). we connected immediately. We shared the same tastes in almost everything! Movies, actors, books, songs..you name it! Thats hard to come by right? And so we became the best of f.r.i.e.n.d.s and the *universe* was prompting the same too!! :D :D. We would go on for hours talkin about the next outing.. the song lines we both loved  and all that traditional clichéd stuffs in the class not even being aware of our sir mumbling about circuits and stuffs! ;) (yea..we sat next to each other! :P)

*S* had always known what to get me! Cuddly bears..a flower (going down on one knee), a leaf with ma name written on it.. all the mushy stuffs!! We’ve always had each others back when our friends would make fun of our *love life* (loveless actually!)

And so.. it was finally time  to meet *S*’s parents. We booked our tickets ..whilst *S*’s ticket was confirmed, mine was in the waiting list.. and like the epic scene in almost all  the tamil films we found ourselves in opposite berths( get this...”upper berth” :P) and the night was dedicated to songs(yea..sharing the earphone stuff J) and continuous chatting! Yes it was the *universe* ;) and i met them..parents..and all was well! And whenever i crash at their place...*S*’s mom would cook all ma favourite dishes. We would hang around together very late, time would just fly by.

And ooohh.. there was this time when *S*’s dad was trying incessantly for a transfer to a college in Chennai! :O. All was set!  But the *universe* barged in! S was going to stay!!! XD XD XD .yea..as bound to we ‘ve had our share of heated arguments, screaming, tears and all that stuffs! But getting back together was neva a problem! ;)  I always knew the right things to say!!.. On second thought.. we aren’t bad dance partners too!!! People liked us together. I mean what more does a gal need?

Getting hooked up was not a pretty much darn hard stuff for people around college. But the perfect match factor was, very much. People were envious about us. We’ve had the perfect dance in the rain, walking under the same umbrella moments, the time of our lives and back-to-back rides.

All I could say was,

“You made me laugh, you made me cry, but I guess that’s both i’ll have to buy!”

We’ve been together now for two years incessantly and It’s hard to think that days just rolled by. Everything is fine, there’s this only flaw though..(AND ITS NOT SMALL! L). S has to belong to the “Y” chromosome family! Yes... if only SWETHA ANANTHAN was a guy..NIVEDA AVINASH wouldn’t be single now!!! :D:D. She  will be the perfect apple to my pie.. the straw to my berry!!! :P The universe would have been devoid of two rare singles. (Yeah, the oxymoron.)

P.S: The part where I mentioned about the *love life*,, I meant it separately ;) and people so are envious about our friendship!

College is fun and we both go by the motto “Love before you fall!”
